About
Laura Sobrado graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. She is a professional artist and designer based in Washington, D.C.
She works under the name “snstza,” pronounced “synesthesia,” a term that describes the phenomenon of experiencing one sense through another. For Laura, this translates to perceiving music through visual art, transforming sound into abstract paintings through her unique data-driven creative process.
Her mission is to collaborate with clients to create paintings that capture the emotional essence of the songs they select. Since music is a powerful vessel for raw emotion, her work is centered on healing and providing visual validation of her clients' feelings through artwork inspired by the music they love.
